The story behind the painting...
In my family, stories of weddings are told time and again, at family gatherings, when tucking children into bed, or when someone is sick. What's more heartwarming than hearing the story of a beautiful bride and her adorable flower girl?
Like your family, mine had such a story. Both the bride and the flower girl were named Susan.
The bride, Susan, was my mom, and you can see her looking like Jackie O on her wedding day.
The flower girl is my cousin Sue-we call her "Sue Rocco" in my family, but to my mother, she'll always be her "flower girl."
The number of stories we have heard about her dress, how it was soooo pink, and how it stood out from side to side..how she fell asleep in the bride's lap at the end of the night..well, this story needed a painting.
And so we have "Susan's Flower Girl" commemorating the special relationship that lasts forever-the one between bride and flower girl.
The giclee is double framed for a beautiful impact. The linen liner is edged with a beaded detail that picks up the dark tones in the rounded profile frame. The patina washed silver leaf finish is handmade from natural, sustainably managed wood.
The giclee print is gallery grade satin and uses archival ink for preservation, all proudly made in the USA by a company that produces framing and giclees for museums and galleries around the world.
Susan's Flower Girl comes in three sizes and is gallery wrapped,
I hope you enjoy Susan's Flower Girl for generations to come!
