About the artist

Starting at age 12...

Sheri Alimonda began painting at 12 at the Art School of Oil Painting in Brooklyn, NY. A child prodigy, by 14 she was reproducing masterpieces from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was painting three days a week in the studio and at home, often working on two or three paintings at once. Currently Sheri is the owner of 7 Fine Arts, a gallery/studio/event space located in Hoboken, NJ. She teaches the old master technique she learned as a child with great success. Being an artist has allowed showcasing work at many events from the New York Art Expo (2005, 2007, 2015, 2017), the Bama Gallery, the Monmouth Museum, and has painted live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Museum of TV and Radio in Beverly Hills. On camera appearances include the ArTV Awards on Bravo, Good Day NY, and pilots for s series entitled "In Her Shoes". Radio interviews from Contemporary Art Gallery Online, Across the Hudson, the Dorothy Dunn Show, and lectures on art forCelebrity, Royal Caribbean and Orient Lines.
